February 2024 was a difficult start to the sailing season for me. I had Zanshin stored on the hardstand in Tyrell Bay, Carriacou. I needed to get the bottom paint done prior to splashing. But “Carnival” in the Caribbean means that things don’t get done for a while, so I spent more time in Airbnb and hotels than I’d planned for.

But I made it to St. Martin in time for the Heineken Regatta.
