Arnd

The weather forecast shows that some rather heavy weather is going to be moving in after this period of calm, so we’ve decided to change our plans and head up north towards St. Martin before it hits Antigua. We still had use of the rental car and since the prices in the supermarkets in Antigua are significantly higher than in St. Martin we didn’t need to get any groceries, this gave us time to play tourist and drive up to Shirley Heights before returning our trusty little steed. We then went to customs and immigration to clear out and then walked up to Fort Berkeley. The winds had started to pick up and I was uncomfortable with my anchoring spot in Falmouth so we curtailed our sightseeing activities and went back to the boat.

We got the anchor up and were soon outside of Falmouth Harbour with sails up and heading towards Deep Bay. Wanita took the wheel for much of the journey and we were doing between 4 and 8 knots in great sailing conditions.

After anchoring at Deep Bay the obligatory happy hour libations were followed by a Braai (BBQ) with chicken and steaks accompanied by potatoes and some wine before retiring early, since I wanted to get underway at sunrise.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
