Arnd

I spent all day aboard the boat, playing around with an Arduino system I put together to monitor and control the refrigerator compressor and doing very little else until the late afternoon. I did get in the dinghy to go forward and get the rust off my strike plate and anchor assembly and used up almost all of my Star Clean tube and the toothbrush is pretty much shot as well. I did a bit of maintenance below, some maintenance on the dinghy engine (but I still need to adjust the idle) and generally messed about the boat waiting for sunset and the RORC600 big party ashore.

When sunset came around and I was ready to head out into Antigua’s nightlife I realized that I felt a bit queasy and suddenly all my energy disappeared and in the end I opted to stay aboard after all. I thawed out a hamburger patty and put that on the BBQ and watched the first half of “Hitman” before realizing I wasn’t into it at all, so I closed down the PC and read for a little while before going to sleep with the music on the stage providing background noise (until about 02:00).

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
