2015 Trip 2015-05-03

After such a long time in the same anchorage, I opted to depart Falmouth Harbour today and motor sail to the lee of Green Island for a couple of days of quiet solitude. The waves were down a bit and I did the short trip with mainsail up and engine ticking over and managed to get the exact same mooring ball that we’d used three days before. I arrived in the early afternoon and took a swim before attacking the task of whittling down the over 1500 pictures I’d taken during the Antigua Sailing Week to a manageable number and then selecting representative shots for each boat so that I could complete my web pages for them.

There were several other boats anchored nearby, but as there’s nothing ashore the nighttime sky is wonderful to watch, which I did after eating a steak grilled on the barbie.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
