2013 Trip 2013-05-06

After two uneventful days aboard Zanshin I had to get out – particularly as the boat had been rocking and rolling for three days and nights and I needed some terra firma underneath my feet again. While the wind died, the waves and little wind came from the south and thus straight into Falmouth, causing an uncomfortable rhythm which occasionally got harmonics to reach an impressive roll rate.
I decided to visit Fort Berkeley, which guarded the entrance to English Harbour and then take a walk along the path up and over the hill. My timing wasn’t the best, as I did it in the heat of the day at noon and there was barely a breeze even at the top of the hill to help cool things down. Oh well, it was nonetheless a nice trip and I’m happy I got the exercise. The camera had recuperated from the stress of Antigua Sailing Week and once again saw some use.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
