Arnd

2013 Trip 2013-02-27

Today was the last day for the car so I did my chores in far-away places. I circled around Philipsburg for a bit like a shark, on the lookout for a parking space and was finally rewarded with a suspiciously big and wide parking space which I immediately took and then looked all around for signage about towing or reserved or the like but it was all OK and I went to Boolchands where I let myself get convinced to get the new GoPro black Hero III camera, which I had wanted to get in any case. So both myself and the salesperson had a good experience with regards to bargaining.
Subsequently it was off to the chandleries with my little shopping list for the boat and after a quick lunch at Lagoonies and depositing my new acquisitions on the boat I was off to Barnacle’s to meet some old friends and partake of the bar’s succulent ribs. Two disappointments upon arrival – ribs are now only on Fridays and my friends didn’t show; but nonetheless it was a fun evening at the bar and even the long drive home afterwards wasn’t too bad.
Back aboard I put the towel on the foredeck and gazed at the stars for a bit, but after no more than a minute my eyes closed on me and I napped for a bit until I got the energy to get back into the boat and hit the sack.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
