Morning sail

Zed and I got Zanshin off the dock and motored out of Jolly Harbour. We chose to stay inside Cades Reef, in calm waters, while the big waves crashed onto the reef outside.

It developed that my engine troubles (unable to rev) have come back to haunt me, and once past the reef, we could only make about 3 knots against the wind, waves, and current. So, we set our sails and had a slow upwind trip, tacking frequently. At least we made it into English Harbour on time.
Then the dock guys had us hover for a long time while they sorted out some fouled mooring lines. At last, we were assigned an inside med-moor berth at the superyacht dock, and we managed to drop the anchor and reverse into the docks with little issue.
Second sail
Zed and I then grabbed a taxi and drove all the way back to Jolly Harbour. Zed got some “groceries” while I did the paperwork with Dream Yacht Charter to get our committee vessel, Cool Runnings. We left the dock around 17:00 and motored towards English Harbour, knowing that we wouldn’t make it back in before dark. This is a bit of a problem, as the charter contract prohibits nighttime activity.
We used the excellent buoyage and leading-light systems to navigate past the reef and fort. We’d arranged a side-to dockage with the dockhands earlier, and the light wind was towards the dock, so all we needed to do was position the catamaran parallel to the dock and let the wind do the work.
