I finally checked out of the hotel today and have moved aboard the boat. I still have the rental car which I’ll be returning on Saturday when the businesses open again after the national holiday.
Gregory was on the ball, seeing that I’d moved aboard he pounced and plied his trade. I got overpriced fruit from him and he even managed to get me to buy some low quality local soap with the exotic description of “Mineral Sulphur Health Soap”. I hope that it doesn’t strip my guest’s skin off as it will go into the guest head.
We had agreed to visit Donna and Keith, who had also checked out of the hotel and moved into their lodgings at “The Landings”. We drove there in the afternoon and the property and apartment was very nice indeed. After drinks on their balcony, we headed out for dinner but all of the places were shut for Easter. Luckily the bar and restaurants at the marina remained open so we ended up at Elena’s for pizza after pre-prandial drinks at the Boardwalk bar.
