Getting the stainless polished by Vision
Vision and crew cleaning Zanshin

I’m getting the stainless polished by others today. My shoulder won’t allow me to raise my arm, so I couldn’t do the stainless steel cleaning work myself and hired a local contractor, Vision, to come and do it for me.  While he and his helper did do a good job, they used about 5x as much material as I would have, but nonetheless the end result was very nice and after they completed the work I knew that I could get the bimini and dodger up without permanently embedding rust in the sunbrella material.

It does take a lot longer than usual with a broken wing. I can’t motivate myself to get to work. Plus the free anodyne at the bar makes for a strong disincentive to work.

Afternoon and Evening

Lot of nothing happening this afternoon. And then more of the same for dinner.  That’s life in an all-inclusive resort for you. The only decisions are when to have the first drink, how many to have, and what to eat for dinner. It’s a tough life but I’m making do as best I can. Getting the stainless polished by others is so demanding. I’ll need to get 2 main portions from the buffet to make up for those expended calories.

After dinner I spent some time talking to other guests at the bar. It was fun to meet others; but the guests were all from either the USA or the U.K. At least we had a lot of common subjects to talk about.  Fortunately the discussions stayed away from both politics and firearms. I believe that “sunburn” was a common topic. After a suitably long period at the trestle I realized I was tired. Returning to my room, I read my eBook for a bit before calling it a night and falling asleep.
