Antigua Sailing Week 2023

This year’s Antigua Sailing Week began on April 28th and ran through May 6th. The weather was perfect with sunshine each day, light to medium winds and correspondingly benign sea state. We did have some mild and calm days and the last two were rough on the committee boat and crew. Our crew aboard the committee boat “A” consisted of:

Apart from Myron, Nigel and Geoff, the rest of the crew are incorrigible recidivists and we’ve worked together before.
The event is a long one with one race prior to the official event, then a total of 5 racing days. There’s a lay day in the middle on Wednesday to give the volunteers time to catch their breath. And for the competitors to either detox or to continue partying. I suspect more did the latter than the former on that day. The table below contains links to the individual daily blog entries, each of which has pictures from that day.
