Arnd

According to my fitbit I only slept 4 hours last night. I wasn’t feeling so good and at about 03:00 I gave up and took a painkiller to get some sleep. I don’t know what I did, but I couldn’t find a comfortable position to sleep in. The winds are scheduled to abate this weekend, so I am going to clear out tomorrow or perhaps on Saturday and motor to St. Martin. There is no other abatement in the trade winds for over a week, so I’ll have to slog through this weekend. Then, once I’m in St Martin, I’ll get the boat hauled and fly back to Europe.

I went into town today to get provisions (wine and potatoes and some fruit) and am back aboard now. I should store everything I’ve taken out in preparation for a rough 24-hours but instead I lay in the shade in the cockpit and read a book on my Kindle.

I’ll make something simple tonight aboard the boat, I’m tired of eating out and it certainly hasn’t been doing my waistline any good – particularly coupled with my absolute inactivity.

Dinner was indeed simple and particularly unhealthy. I’d purchased some beef hotdogs in the USA and had gotten some hotdog buns at the grocery store so I had hotdogs with mustard, onions and relish for dinner. I’d had a small salad at lunch so I got a bit of everything today, including an apple for an afternoon snack to round out the basic food groups.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
