Arnd

I woke up early this morning. I’ve only got a couple of Nespresso capsules left aboard so have switched to making my morning coffee with a Aeropress device which makes very good tasting coffee and once you get used to using the plunger it is also quite simple to make and easy to clean. The only downside compared to the Nespresso machine is the wait for the water in the kettle to boil.

I’m at Omar’s right now to catch up on e-mail, but soon after I arrived the power failed and I’m hanging about waiting for the power and the Wi-Fi to be restored so I can send off my batch of e-mails and return to the boat.

Dinner tonight was with Malcolm and Candace at Gene’s in Sea Cow Bay. I picked them up at their house, since the drive is a long one despite being only a couple of miles; and their old VW Kübelwagen (“The Thing”) isn’t as comfortable as my little rental jeep. Dinner was quite tasty and we sat outside in the protected cove until late.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
