Arnd

First day aboard Zanshin and she looks nice on the outside but there is still quite a bit of work to do inside, although looks are always deceiving on a boat – even though it looks like everything is taken apart it only takes a couple of minutes to put everything back in place and those floor coverings shouldn’t be too much work to remove. I’ve got my notes of things that I need to buy and True North Yachting is working diligently to get the final items finished prior to the scheduled test sail in order to final tune and pin the rigging.

I tried to stay away from the boat as much as possible so as not get underfoot and started working off my list of things to buy. I had ordered a SPOT tracker two weeks before and Fed Ex’s “guaranteed 2 day delivery” hadn’t worked out and I had to try to track the package location down so that I could use it on this trip.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
