Arnd

The winds had picked up overnight and I could see the white tops of waves around the corner, but in my secluded anchorage I had just enough wind coming through to ventilate the boat. I want to continue my kite surfing lessons where I’d left off last year but the strong winds put me off and I think I’ll wait a day or two for the winds to settle before taking my next lesson. A small shower passed through in the morning that put down just enough rain to slightly wet the decks, so I got out the washdown hose and washed down all the windows and metal fittings, then wiped them clean with a cloth and used a chamois to dry out the windows and dodger; I hope that this will slow down the formation of rust a bit.

I swam around a bit and paddleboarded inside my anchorage – I wasn’t going to risk getting blown all the way to Nonsuch Bay resort on the board by the winds. The dinghy hadn’t seen any use, so I zipped around the corner of Green Island to the next anchorage (which had 3 boats in it) and then across the bay to a small islet close to the reef, which is a bird nesting place for pelicans and where I saw my first baby pelicans whose plumage was pure white. From there I travelled along the protective reef and perhaps tomorrow I’ll bring along an anchor and snorkel/fins and explore some of it.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
