Arnd

I woke up early again, and still felt that sore throat from the previous. Yesterday I guessed it was the consequence of eating the spicy Indian food the night before, but this morning I also felt a bit “down” and almost got a cramp in my calf when standing up so my guess is that I’m coming down with a cold – if I’m lucky. If my luck doesn’t hold, then it could be one of the local fevers coming on and I really don’t want to experience Chikungunya or Zika first-hand.

I will have to wait another day before I can purchase the new outboard, since I’m using a prepaid Visa card where the funds haven’t landed yet. But once I have that last big purchase and the final items from the local chandleries I’ll be ready to head out to the “Bucket” in St. Barths and from there I’ll head south towards Guadeloupe. I spent quite a bit of time seeing if there was any way to repair the communication issue that I’ve been having with the Victron charger/inverter but I think that the only solution might be to get a new controller board which might be rather expensive.

The cold is progressing along nicely as my throat is becoming more itchy and I’ve developed a very nice little cough and that does relieve me as it means that I probably don’t have one of the tropical fevers but am “just” getting a cold.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
