2016 Trip 2016-03-01

Today marked the first real effort for the 2016 Heineken Regatta; Mark and I got a ride to Oyster Pond and we picked up an almost brand new catamaran for use as committee boat “B”. The waves outside weren’t too daunting and the channel was easy to exit. Once outside we didn’t bother raising the main, but unfurled the jib and turned off the engines. Despite the small sail area, we did 4-6 knots the whole way back and it was a comfortable journey in that 40 foot cat. We picked up a mooring outside the Simpson Bay Lagoon bridge (we got it the first attempt, shows that we’re an experienced team) and soon were back at the SMYC for a happy hour libation.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
