Unfortunately nothing exciting happened today for those who wish to see pictures of Caribbean destinations. I took no pictures but did work on getting my home-office connectivity established so that I could remain in the tropical warmth of the Caribbean rather than face wind and rain and cold in northern Europe. The notebook issue remained but we found a way to get my connectivity established using a portal that the company has and a software application called Citrix. While I was able to connect and do things such as browse directories and use my corporate e-mail, the important application that I needed to use, plus the database connectivity, was still missing but the IT department in Denmark had a plan. Due to the 6 hour time difference, their day ends before my lunchtime arrives, but we did make progress.

Original hosting provider breaks my old website

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every. Single. Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
