2014 Trip 2014-03-28

The swell outside the anchorage has gone up, as have the winds; so departing today is not a comfortable option and I remained at anchor all day. I used the time to sort out my LED lighting arrangement and doing a bit of cleaning aboard below decks. I don’t have my Excel spreadsheet with my inventory list, so was surprised at some of the things I found underneath the bunks and in various storage locations. I’d forgotten all about a full set of Jeanneau crockery and flatware that I had received as a present a couple of years before! Plus I found some more spare impellers and other assorted hardware.

I only went ashore once to get a baguette and then chatted aboard the Katzenellenbogen for a while prior to returning aboard for a late tasty burrito dinner. The rains outside made star-watching impossible so I had a glass or two of fine 20 year old Tawny Port while reading a couple of pages in my current e-book and then sleeping.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
