Arnd

2013 Trip 2013-12-26

Somehow I got little achieved today but managed to wear myself out doing it! I only got one picture of the completed dodger assembly, which took a lot more effort to get up than I originally expected. I also did some stainless polishing on the anchor assembly and some forward stainless (which, if it “stained less” than something else must have compared itself to a solid block of oxidized iron) and then rested in the cool hotel room before attacking the next stint aboard. I went through 2 2-liter bottles of water and never felt the need to head to the rest room, a mix of not being acclimated to the heat yet and also doing some physical labour again after months of sedentary office work. The boat has taken it’s first blood, luckily just small amounts and nothing that won’t heal in a day or two.
At Peg Leg’s this night there was a bit of a ruckus with some inebriated patrons screaming and shouting and wildly gesticulating and it seemed to have been sorted out when on of the guests decided to take a parting kick at the bartender and made contact. Luckily that was all that happened and soon the band fired up again and all was well.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
