2013 Trip 2013-03-03

While working below decks and listening to the local rock/blues station which was also reporting live from the Heineken Regatta I popped up on deck and was surprised to see that a lot of boats were approaching Creole Rock and then turning – one of the marks was close by so I hopped into the dinghy with camera and backpack in hand and took some pictures – a lot of pictures.
After the exciting race view right at the mark, I returned to the boat and proceeded to work on the LED project for the cockpit area and when I finished the temporary installation and tested it after dark I was pleasantly surprised and won’t put the other 2 LED bars up, as what is there already is more than sufficient for background mood lighting up to bright reading lights. The next step in the project is going to be wiring the permanent installation and I’m sure that will take up most of the day tomorrow as I’ve got to lead the wiring from the breaker panel at the navigation station all the way to the instrument panel switch assembly at the starboard wheel.
Instead of heading into town for the final party night at Kim Sha beach (where the Commodores are the headlining act) I went ashore a bit and then made a T-Bone steak aboard with baked potatoes and the BBQ repairs proved successful – the heat went way up into the HOT zone and the steak was charred sufficiently on the outside and hot enough in the middle!

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
