Winter 2011-2012 Trip 2012-03-11

Today is a warm day, the winds have died down and it is warm below decks; but since I started some chores below I have to finish them and I’ll cool off in the afternoon with a dive at Turtle Reef as I’ve not been able to take any pictures there so far. If the conditions remain this settled I’ll head off to Île Tintamarre or perhaps across to the BVI in the next day or two.
I opted to try diving Turtle Reef with the camera today but when I made it to the area I only found the outer buoy and descended for a dive there. The visibility was quite bad and the dive site was on the flats so I didn’t wander very far from the starting point; but I did get to see some fish in and around the cinder blocks positioned there.
Upon return I noticed a 2 person kayak that capsized and the couple was drifting in the wind while trying to get back aboard so I dinghied over and ended up having to tow them back to their resort as they couldn’t mount my dinghy or their kayak.
Later on in the afternoon I picked up Sally and Chris ashore and we went back aboard Zanshin for a sundowner or two while watching the sun set.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
