I sat at the navigation table this morning for a good 5 minutes, staring at the galley and putting on my “I’m starving” look but the breakfast didn’t magically cook itself as it had done for the previous 2 weeks. I spent the rest of the day doing chores aboard the boat and getting the laundry done and thinking how odd it was that the winds had died to nothing right after the ladies had left, as if they’d packed it into their baggage. Without the wind it does get a bit warm below decks but at least it still beats the winter temperatures back in Europe.
The only productive work I managed all day was returning the dive gear and getting some shopping done before I had to return the rental car but at least the transportation union’s strike in Trinidad is over as Carib is once again available on the island.
