Winter 2011-2012 Trip 2012-02-26

Today was going to be the big day for Agathe and Desi, as were planned on heading to Octopus Diving so that they could do their DSD (Discover Scuba Diving) dive(s) and decide whether or not to pursue the full PADI “Open Water Diver” certification. Both of them were rather quiet before we headed in – most certainly a sign of a touch of nervousness. I also went diving at the same time, but separate from the group as I didn’t want to get in their way and, unfortunately, when I did see them and tried to take a picture it turned out that the macro lens didn’t focus at that far distance.
They returned from their dive and snorkeling in the late afternoon somewhat tired and excited at the prospect of continuing. We were so exhausted from the day’s activities that, after the obligatory happy hour, we didn’t have the energy to go ashore for dinner and made some pasta from the ingredients in the galley and some thawed-out frozen hamburgers. It was very tasty and the portions were huge, leading to that sated feeling which quickly makes the eyelids droop and the bed look very tempting. They made it to bed, but I ended up falling asleep in the cockpit before waking up and gathering the energy to go below.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
