As we’d anchored far out in Marigot because the inner harbour was rather crowded we paid the price and were exposed to the big swell and winds and neither of us had a great night’s sleep (somewhat understated, as Wolfgang didn’t sleep after 2am and while I got more, it wasn’t deep sleep) and we were glad to get to land for breakfast at La Sucrière. Upon return to the boat I spied a charter sailboat weighing anchor and immediately set about getting their inner spot, much to the relief of Wolfgang who was worried about getting ashore without a dunking. I’ll also rest easier tonight, as well.
Although we had a tense 30 minutes waiting for the traffic jam after the 11:30am bridge opening to clear, we made it to the airport in good time for Wolfgang to catch his multi-leg and lengthy set of flights back to Germany and I was suddenly alone again aboard Zanshin.
I spent most of the afternoon aboard doing a lot of nothing but then pulled my act together and did some cleaning until finally it was time to make dinner on the BBQ and retire early.
