Winter 2011-2012 Trip 2012-01-23

Today’s agenda consisted of sailing around St. Barths to give Wolfgang a chance to see what a sailboat feels like on all points of sail, with a short stop in Gustavia in order to fill up our larder (Broiled steak is on the agenda for tonight). We had some nice sailing in medium and then very strong wind as a squall passed by, then I tried a new shortcut into the outer Gustavia anchorage which wasn’t quite successful in that we ran aground (with almost no forward speed, hitting the bottom rather than the front of the keel) but managed to extricate ourselves and then try a more traditional approach with 10-20 feet of water under the keel.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
