Most of the content and pages on this site are to be found right here in the blog section. I’ve kept a daily blog since 2009 for the times I’ve been aboard and cruising. I’ve accumulated over 1500 posts over the years, plus numerous non-diary pages. Almost every day has a descriptive text entry (my family-safe online diary) along with several pictures.
Unfortunately, due to a hosting issue, the blog pages prior to 2022 have lost both their initial layout and formatting, making them read more like a book page rather than a web page. But at least the texts and pictures are still there for your viewing pleasure.

The beach is small and difficult to get to, yet it is usually pretty full as it is in this picture

While this doesn't look like much, the ferry wake is quite nasty and slammed my boat, seriously rolled smaller boats and washed water all the way to the top of the beach. By the time the wake arrives, the boat causing it is long gone.

This small and relatively open anchorage provided me respite from the 30+ knots of wind out there

Somewhere dead astern is at least one whale that made a huge splash but never returned after I had my camera ready. So I took this empty picture

Cloudy day in the Caribbean

I had to look twice at this sailboat without a mast. Even though it was calm in the anchorage, the lack of mass up high meant this yacht was rolling around quite a lot.
