Cool Runnings needed to be back at Dream Yacht Charter by 10:00, so we departed the docks at 07:30, with Alec, Nigel, Jaime, and Joerg aboard as crew. The winds were from dead behind us, so we only had the mainsail up for the first part and then hoisted the jib for the second half. The whole trip was done with a bit of engine power, and we averaged over 8 knots the whole way.
We docked at the fuel dock for some diesel, then the dockhands took over and reversed us onto the docks. I picked up my long-overdue laundry, and then Pam and Chris Mansfield picked me up to return to Nelson’s Dockyard.
I spent the rest of the day aboard, doing some cleaning tasks and preparing to replace the guest head forward.
