Morning
I got up for a 06:30 arrival ashore so that I could be on the committee boat when it departed the docks. We got on station in time and set up the line for the Around the Island race. There were two groups of boats with the slower ones not quite going around the island while the faster ones had to do so.
The first starts went off without a hitch and then we had a 2 hour wait until we could start the other classes and send them on their way.
Lunch
Ashore, I realized that I was going to go along for the bareboat skipper briefing, as I’d function as a translator for the large German contingent. That meeting was a success as well and we all made our way back to the AYC building.
Dinner
After a bit more work on the boat, the crew went to Trappas for a tasty dinner.
