Morning Serenade
I woke up a to serenade of goats bleating. They are amazingly vociferous for their size. I slept well, but it was breezy and every time the mosquito net blew out and brushed my face I woke up (briefly). I’ll make sure to fasten the edges of the net better tonight.
My workspace is next to the kitchen. The breeze blows straight through and despite the sun burning down on the roof in the morning it remained very comfortable throughout the day.
The view from up here is very nice, although a haze set in around lunchtime and reduced visibility but cooled down the loft.
The owners are off to work and kitesurfing and their dog has come up for some attention. Every couple of minutes he gives me a nudge stating that it is time for some attention.
Work at the office was demanding today, but I’ve made some progress and the internet connectivity is excellent.
Soon it will be quitting time and I don’t feel like doing the big excursion into town for dinner and Mardi Gras or Carnival celebrations, so I’ll cook the pasta in the kitchen and drink a Carib beer or two. I see that there’s a bottle of wine as well, but don’t know if it is part of the room package.
