Morning
My last day at La Sagesse began with some conference calls and home-office work from the hotel room, then I moved to the somewhat more scenic “office” in the hotel lobby area. I took a couple of breaks from work that included a swim in water and a walk on the beach.
Lunch
While at my “desk” the owner, Michael, grabbed me and brought me to the back of the kitchen area where they’d just gotten the “catch of the day”. Unlike most places, this really was fresh from fisherman’s boat. The chef was fileting a Kingfish and large yellowtail tuna was still in the cooler and waiting to be prepared. It almost made me regret not eating seafood. But only almost.
Afternoon
Work progressed apace until the late afternoon, where my office’s proximity to the bar led me to have a Happy-Hour libation and that marked the end of my working day.
