Early morning
I got up as the pre-dawn sky was lightening up in preparation for the new day. I’m getting ready for the Regatta this coming week and have to finish off things at the office so that I can have a whole week of vacation.
Morning
On my second coffee now. The waters outside looked like a mirror earlier, but a nice breeze has just set in and is cooling the boat down nicely. I’ve had a couple of conference calls so far and need to do some more actual work at the keyboard. The workday seems like it has barely begun. My conference calls have come and gone and despite running low on coffee supplies I’m happy at my progress.
Afternoon
I finished rather late and went ashore around 16:00 to the AYC. There, I talked to the crew in the office setting up and then walked to Budge Marine to procure my AIS antenna replacement. As I approached the glass door of the store at 16:20 I saw a lady on the other side approach it and “click” lock the door right in front of me. It turns out they were closing at 16:30. She shrugged at me and walked away, not letting me in. Oh well, not the best customer service but also not the worst, either. I’ll return tomorrow.
Evening
I saw Neil from EHO2 at Skullduggery after my return and ended eating and drinking there for happy hour and dinner with his friends until I stumbled back aboard the board.
