Alone aboard
It was strange to wake up alone aboard this morning after 2 weeks of sharing the boat. I still managed to make coffee and then login to work. I’d been checking my e-mails infrequently during my days off, but there were still quite a few unread ones to take care of. There were some work matters that needed to be dealt with in a timely manner that I completed. Most of my colleagues had already departed for the weekend due to the 5-hour time difference.
My goal today, with the mobility that the rental car gives me, was to do my provisioning and chandleries run on the Dutch side. I got going around noon and it took almost 2 hours for the short trip. Needless to say, traffic s**ked.
I spent my savings at Island Waterworld, Budget Marine and Ace Hardware. Smaller amounts went to the laundry and to Lagoonies for lunch.

The last stop was grocery shopping at Carrefour. They had so many good-looking steaks that I fear I might have gone overboard in my selection…

Evening

Provisioning and chandleries run completed, I wanted to stay aboard tonight. I had purchased a baguette and still had cheese and salami left in the fridge. That formed the foundation of a simple, and filling, dinner aboard. I’m not going to go ashore tonight; I’ll remain aboard.
