2022-06-24 Back in Europe

After my extended visit to the Caribbean and after participating in the 2022 Newport-Bermuda race the time has finally come to return to Europe and actually step foot in my workplace office again.

I vaguely recalled the way to the office building and was surprised that, after a hiatus of 2 years due to Corona, the security guards recognized me and gave me back my (somewhat dusty) ID-Badge. After getting used to my custom leather desktop at home, the office desktop looks bare and strictly utilitarian.

One of the things that I had missed amid the COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions was visiting the local beer garden in the summertime. There’s just something relaxing about sitting the shade of massive trees and enjoying the local brewmeister’s fine creations!
