Morning work
I’m getting ready to depart, initially for a day trip today and after that heading to out to Antigua. So I was up with the sun and I went through the cabins making sure that everything at wasn’t tied, glued or bolted down was stowed away. I removed some of the excess lines to the dock and connections when I check my e-mail and saw that today’s excursion had been unilaterally postponed.
Walkabout
I needed fuel for the dinghy outboard and Lincoln was kind enough to take me across to the fuel dock to get my canister filled – it is a long walk and that filled 25l canister would be ungainly to carry on foot for that distance. But before we got going he had another chore to take care, so I walked to the Harbor Club complex to take a look at their facilities. They are very nice indeed and the pizza place has a good reputation. I might try that one night.
Happy hour and dinner
After getting my gas with Lincoln I tried working, but my shoulder was really acting up and painful so I curtailed my activities. It was warm belowdecks so I walk to the pool and took a cooling shower and dip in the water, subsequently walking past the Boardwalk Bar and getting sucked into the company of my dockside neighbors (on Rastaphairn) for cold beverages.
That meant the end of the work day for me. The afternoon faded into dusk while others joined us at the Boardwalk. Much later we all went to La Mesa for dinner and the next thing I knew was that I was stumbling back to the boat at 23:00!
