2016 Trip 2016-05-01

Today is the first day after the races and I spent all day finally uploading my photographs and sorting/collating them. The first pass whittled 1200 pictures down to a manageable 300 and from there on I became more selective in what to keep until I finally had a good selection and those remaining snaps got a bit of editing and cropping before going onto this blog. I had the crock pot going all day, my first attempt at slow-cooking beef ribs. While the end product was very tasty, the ribs were so tender that the meat fell from the bones in the pot, so I ended up removed all of the bones and making a very thick stew from the result. I had a sample with some rice and it was a perfect dinner for me after a long day at the computer screen in the daytime heat of Antigua.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
