This page is neither indexed nor otherwise referenced by this site. It’s a honeypot page. Meant solely for spammers and bots searching for site vulnerabilities. Or planning something nefarious. There’s no “normal” way to get here. There are no pages on this site that link here. It is not in the sitemap. The robots.txt should prevent well-behaved bots from ending up here.  Only when an attempt is made to reach certain pages do I redirect them here. At some point in time, I’ll just further redirect them elsewhere, but for the moment I’ll keep this page.

I normally would have performed some sort of a Turing test to check for a human visitor, but with the advent of such programs as ChatGPT that approach probably wouldn’t work anymore.

I’m amazed at how many automated vulnerabilities scans this site gets on a daily basis, hence this honeypot. Some of the checks are quite odd, until I use Google to determine that at some point in the past that page evidenced a security flaw or vulnerability, and bots are still looking for sites. Some of those flaws were fixed over 10 years ago – I wonder how many sites really still have that software that old.
