Jeanneau Owners BVI 2016

Jeanneau Owner’s Rendezvous 2016

Zanshin decks in Annapolis, on the Jeanneau Owner pageI was fortunate to get invited to this event, sponsored by Jeanneau, in the BVI. It was an opportunity to meet my fellow Jeanneau boat owners as we travelled around various destinations in the BVI. I’ve created this page with a selection of photos from the event so that anyone who sees the odd picture they might fancy can select them out and request a higher-resolution shot. Addendum: while this was several years ago, I did send out quite a few pictures and have kept in contact with some of those I met during this trip.

This event is held on an annual basis and run from Jeanneau America. The BVI is a great destination for the Jeanneau Owners rendezvous. It has great weather and is accessible from the USA directly or via St. Thomas. In addition, the Sunsail base has a large selection of charter Jeanneau yachts available! All in all, it is an excellent choice for a get-together of this type.

I was the only owner who was in a position to show up in their own boat. All of the other participants flew in and chartered a Jeanneau for the event. The rendezvous was spread across almost the whole of the BVI, with only the distant Anegada left out of running.

The Jeanneau Owners travelled in a pack from anchorage to anchorage. We had one sail each day and events planned for the evening. There was even one day where I got to sail along on a Jeanneau 64. I realized that, even if I could afford the purchase price, it was too much of a boat for me.

The final day and night were spent on Peter Island. It is a very resort and the trip there was quite an experience!
