Arnd

After some maintenance work aboard, I went ashore in the morning to get some more parts for the boat and talk with the refrigeration people regarding adding gas to my A/C units, particularly the main cabin one which has never cooled and which has what I suspect is a big leak. After that I dropped by the SMYC and ended up spending a long time with Deborah and Paul Miller as well as Ian Hope-Ross (who races “Kick ’em Jenny 2” and after watching them drink those tasty Bloody Marys I succumbed and had a beer which meant that the rest of the day was shot for me.

While I didn’t take a nap in the afternoon, I might as well have done so as I didn’t really do anything at all, at least until later on when I worked inside the boat and got prepared for happy hour and dinner. I ended up staying aboard despite the full moon parties going on ashore and made a quick burger dinner on the BBQ and then looking at my disk drive with movies for something to watch. I chose 2 early episodes of “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” before shutting down the computer and reading for a bit. I put the fan in the cabin on medium speed to drown out the loud noise from the parties at Palapa and elsewhere and soon fell into a deep sleep.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
