Arnd

We got underway again in the morning so that I could drop Wanita and Shaun off for their return flight (Winair to Antigua via Dominica) and so that I could get to the committee boat on time. I’m sure that Wanita approached passport control with some trepidation and both of them were in for a very long set of flights to South Africa and England, respectively. I, on the other hand, had a short day aboard the committee boat as we only had one set of races to start and the courses were all short so that everyone could make it back in time to prepare for the big prize giving ceremonies at Kim Sha beach that night.

The prize giving began at 18:30 and Mark was the host of the event. There were a number of prizes to distribute and the timing was very tight; unfortunately the crews of the victorious boats weren’t being brought on stage in a timely manner (or in the correct order) so the event went less smoothly than it could have but overall it was a success. The headlining band, UB40, wasn’t slated to start until midnight and by 20:00 I was so tired that the thought of staying longer and actually driving all the way back to Grand Case after that was less than enticing so I opted to head home early rather than see the band.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
