The second day of racing saw us up at “Windward”, which is, as the name might lead discerning individuals to note, to windward and somewhat of a bash to get to. Once there and tethered, it is evident that this mooring is also more exposed to the elements; but our hardy committee B boat team didn’t let the inclement weather and conditions bother us and we got our classes off to their one race of the day. Since we knew we’d only be doing a single race, the courses were set by Stephen, Linda and Clare so as to keep the competitors occupied for a good part of the day. One side-effect of this is is that there was going to be long wait between the last start and the first finish. Luckily we had Clare aboard this year and she had prepared some impressive meals for us rather that let us subsist on the standard soggy-sandwich fare we’d had in years past.
