2016 Trip 2016-04-10

The beach was alive with the sound of music today; in the far corner someone had set up a loudspeaker system that probably needed an industrial power supply as it was pretty loud. The music was modern Caribbean Soca, but the kind of angry, repetitive music that I abhor and even with my stereo going quite loudly I couldn’t hear my own stereo if I strayed too far from the speakers! I started the big task of cataloging my electronics components this morning and for a number of the chips that I’d bought I’ll need to find an internet connection so that I can identify what they do. My next task is putting together the solar panel measuring system so that I can see what the panels are producing during the course of the day.

I did remove the yellow Post-It note marked “Fix bow roller assembly” today after doing exactly that.

A couple of rounds of the anchorage on the paddle board and a short walk ashore rounded off the day.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
