The winds settled at night and Zanshin got back winded a bit, and unfortunately the chain snubber hook did two very long arcs along my hull and I’m afraid the scratches are deep enough to not buff out! Oh well, I shouldn’t worry too much about, since I can’t change what happened. But I will redo my snubber line to make sure that it cannot happen again. I sailed to the North Sound today, tacking all the way out to Anegada in order to make it into the channel. While it was a good sail, I arrived just a bit too late to clear customs and immigration and have therefore missed my weather window to get to St. Martin. The weather for the next days looks very bad (for an upwind sail) with winds of over 25 knots and commensurate waves to boot.

2016 Trip 2016-03-21
My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.
Every. Single. Page.
So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.
The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
