2016 Trip 2016-03-16

There was no agenda planned for today, each participant could select a destination of their choosing. Malcolm had to return to Cane Garden Bay so we departed the North Sound and set sail for distant Tortola. The downwind run was comfortable and we made good time, arriving at Cane Garden Bay in time to have some lunch at Myett’s on the beach. I had checked the weather to find that a north swell was setting in so I was in a hurry to leave this notoriously uncomfortable anchorage (in a north swell, otherwise it is a great place to be). I hopped across to Jost van Dyke and anchored at Diamond Cay. At happy hour I hopped across to the B-Line beach bar for a Presidente and had no luck tossing the bottle caps into a “Free Drink” jar but later on Ian van Tuyl and his crew joined me for a final drink. I had a steak thawing for dinner otherwise I would have joined them at Foxy’s Taboo ashore.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
