Today marked the final day of racing for the 2016 Heineken Regatta. Our committee boat wasn’t needed for starts or finishes so we were assigned different tasks; my boat was reallocated to being a media boat with another driver, so I joined Milos on his powerboat as a backup pin and finish boat. We didn’t do much apart from zip around the fleets while avoiding the racers. We did reset the mark for one of the classes and check out the finish line for another but all in all I had plenty of opportunity to whip out the camera and take some shots, but I was tired from the night before and didn’t catch any particularly great shots. We returned to lagoon quite early and put the boat to rest. After that I hung around the yacht club for a bit and returned to my boat to do some laundry and clean up for the final night of prize giving and partying.

2016 Trip 2016-03-06
My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.
Every. Single. Page.
So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.
The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
