In the early hours of the morning I drove across to the new Simply market to do some provisioning and then to the new butcher next door, where I bought the biggest T-Bone I have ever purchased; I had the butcher cut a bigger piece and didn’t realize how big it was. After putting those purchases on the boat it was time to return the rental car and this time I walked back along the beach rather than the road and am pleased to be able to report that the beach isn’t missing on the far side of Grand Case, just the dinghy dock area has its sand missing this season.
It was time to fill up the dive tank and I used the opportunity to change the Bauer compressor Triplex air filter to ensure that I get clean diving air. After that I did some more chores to fill out the rest of the day and then headed ashore to Calmos Café for some snacks and to listen to the Salsa music band, where I met two ladies from New York who had travelled from the Dutch side in order to listen to the singer and they were rather disappointed that the new singer didn’t have the presence or voice of the old one. But the music was still enjoyable.
