Several months back the internet forums that I frequent dealing with sailing had several posts regarding a new catamaran that had run up on the reef at Sandy Spit of Jost van Dyke. Initially there was a series of pictures showing the grounded cat and then a photo essay showing the salvage operation; unfortunately these pictures soon disappeared from the internet (perhaps due to insurance and liability questions) and recently an advertisement for sale of this boat appeared here on yachtworld.com. Looking at the pictures below, one can see how carefully the wording of that advertisement has been selected and once again reconfirms my conviction that salesperson’s statements are to be taken with more than just a grain of salt.
