I spent the morning hours packing away the last of the stuff from storage, then at noon proceeded to rent a wreck at the ferry dock for 2 days (cash deal, he just checked my license and didn’t even to a credit-card imprint, that’s never happened to me before) and then did some shopping and picked up the Spectra replacement water membrane from warranty. A short visit to Ace Hardware and various other small stores and I was ready to go to the airport to pick up Nat and Rob. Of course it was Air France so their flight was delayed but luckily only a half hour and I had taken my notebook along. They arrived in good cheer after a long and uncomfortable flight – but their luggage was scared of international travel and had decided to spend another day or two in France.
After settling into the boat, we dinghied across the Simpson Baie lagoon to Barnacle’s for Happy Hour and met up with Carmen and Bernd, as all of us had met on project work in Germany.
