I didn’t get going until late, although I did listen in to the 07:30 cruiser’s network on the VHF. I puttered around on the boat and went to Lagoonies for a lunchtime sandwich, checking for a mail from the shipping company with no luck. Then I decided I’d really be happy with a French café au lait with a croissant and took my notebook in there as well – success, they told me that the container was going to be unpacked in the afternoon so I zoomed back to the Dutch side for a rental car. Unfortunately all they had was a Jeep for a bit more money, but I took it and drove to pick up my cases. I made it to CaribTrans and paid my $50 fees, then proceeded to their container unloading facility as seen in the picture and picked up my 5 cases, dropping my camera on the ground in the process. I was too worried that I’d broken it so I didn’t try to turn it on until I’d arrived at the dinghy dock; luckily only the lens cover was bent and twisted and the camera and lens were still functioning well. Getting the heavy cases from the car to the dock, then to the dinghy, and from there onto Zanshin was a big task, but I finally made it and started to unpack the contents, bit by bit. The first case contained the rest of the Froli mattress pieces for the 2 aft cabins, so I spent two hours getting those installed and making both beds comfortable for future guests.
