Once again the winds were howling through the anchorage and there was no chance of me moving outside of the sheltered lagoon.
I didn’t get going until a bit later in the morning and still had the rental car – my goal was Cost-U-Less but I met one of the salespeople from Island Waterworld and his wife at the dinghy dock and they were headed to Philipsburg so I took them along. Traffic was, always, heavy and after dropping them off I realized that I had my backpack along, but that my wallet was still on the boat. By the time I’d returned to the boat in order to retrieve the errant wallet and parked in Cost-U-Less another hour and a half had gone by. I did my shopping, went to the Dutch hardware store to get some wood for the boat (then had to return to the store and buy a small saw in order to make the wood fit into the car), and when I got to the dinghy dock it was already 5pm and the day was heading into the final stretch. I went ashore with Heinz-Dieter from Pinta for some dinner and drinks and we returned to our respective boats at around 11pm.
