As befits a day where the whole year is still ahead, I took it easy. While I woke up early, I didn’t really get much accomplished and by 11am I was certain that I’d stay here for the day since the winds and waves were still high. So once again I attacked the bilges to get the last remnants of diesel out. When the boat behind me left I decided to let out a bit more chain (only about 20 feet or so) but then realized that I might be infringing upon the anchor space of another boat behind me, so I dinghied over to explain what I’d done. The crew, Rob and Lauren, were aboard Arita and invited me aboard. Before I knew it, I was wolfing down a fresh and tasty BLT and we were planning on exchanging software and movies and half the afternoon had gone by.
